If you have a free trial or introductory membership that you offer to prospects as a precursor to signing them up for a regular membership, this enhancement will improve the tracking of your prospect pipeline and give you an accurate member count - while leveraging membership settings like price & duration.

Creating a trial membership allows you to differentiate between a "regular" membership and a "trial" or introductory membership. When a "trial" membership is added to a profile, the person's status will be Prospect and they will not count toward the active member count in the dashboard.
How to mark a membership option as a trial
- Go to Setup
- Select Membership Options
- Choose an existing membership or create a new
- Check the box next to "Trial"
- Save
When an existing membership option is saved as a trial, all membership instances of this type will be updated. Once a membership option is marked as a trial, it cannot be "undone".
Anyone that signs up for an "trial" membership via your member website/embeds will automatically receive login information for Member App/Member Connect. For those signed up through staff facing applications (Studio, Front Desk, Staff App) you can grant access by going to their profile, clicking the lightning bolt and allowing access - they will not be granted access by default.
Reporting on trial memberships
You can report on trial memberships in the Membership and Drop report types. To view trial member information, add the criteria "Trial Member", is true.
NOTE: Anyone with a trial membership will still count toward the "active member count" for your Zen Planner subscription bill.
